The
very first screen shots of this
real-time strategy/RPG hybrid
have just arrived from Japan, but
at this point no firm U.S.
release date has been announced.
Nevertheless,
we're extremely excited to see
these great screen shots and to
learn that yet another super-deep
RPG game is in the works for Game
Boy Advance. The Fire Emblem
series is a very popular
franchise in Japan, which has
appeared on both the original NES
and Super NES. The storyline is
based on a courageous hero who
must protect his homeland from a
brutal invasion by a neighboring
kingdom. The two kingdoms had
lived peacefully for hundreds of
years, which gives the hero a
mystery to solve along with his
quest to save his home.

New
screen shots of Camelot's
sprawling RPG have just arrived
from Japan, providing an awesome
example of of the stunning
graphics and deep gameplay which
will be available on Game Boy
Advance. This Pak is scheduled to
be released this summer in Japan,
but no U.S. release date has been
announced.
Camelot
is the same development company
who produced Mario Golf and Mario
Tennis for both Nintendo 64 and
Game Boy Color. The Game Boy
Color versions of these two games
contain many RPG elements, which
proves that the company knows
what they're doing when it comes
to this genre. Any team who can
turn a tennis game into an RPG
should be able to deliver one
heck of a true role playing game
filled with magic and monsters.
Golden
Sun stars a young hero who is
blessed with mysterious mental
powers. These powers, which in
English roughly translate to
"Energy," allow the
hero to perform a wide range of
offensive and defensive attacks.
We've confirmed that this game
will support four-player action
via the Game Boy Advance Game
Link Cable, but other details are
in short supply. At this point,
we're simply satisfied to soak up
these super-sweet screen shots.

As
new Game Boy Advance news and
screen shots continue to flow
from Japan, we're becoming
increasingly excited about the
awesome RPGs which are in the
works. Magical Vacation is no
exception, but at this point
there has been no U.S. release
date announced.
When
evil monsters attack a group of
young students attending Magic
School, the novice mages escape
to a parallel world called the
Plain of Light. An amazing RPG
adventure unfolds from there,
supported by a rich storyline and
classic fantasy graphics. This
rag-tag band of magicians learn
to work together and build their
magical skills as they overcome
the struggles of life away from
home. The unsurpassed power of
Game Boy Advance's crisp graphics
and superior sound in Magical
Vacation demonstrate how amazing
quests like this will be brought
to life in the palm of your hand.
| Magical
Vacation is being
developed by
Nintendo-funded Brownie
Brown, founded by four
ex-Square employees who
created that company's
award-winning Secret of
Mana ("Seiken
Densetsu" in Japan)

Although
no U.S. release date has been
announced for the latest
installment in the Ogre Battle
series, these brand new screen
shots from Japan should entice at
least a few die-hard fans to
start a petition or two.
Real-time
strategy games have just recently
begun to appear on Game Boy
Color, but Game Boy Advance will
be able to pull them off with
much more finesse and
sophistication. Tactics Ogre:
Gaiden is a strategy/RPG hybrid
which challenges players to
control legions of troops in an
epic struggle of good versus
evil. Amazingly, the screen shots
for this game look every bit as
crisp as the visuals found in
Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly
Caliber for Nintendo 64! Combine
these amazing visuals with the
staggering depth associated with
the Ogre Battle series, and
you're experiencing some
seriously advanced gaming.
